I’ve spent about two years working through The Wandering Inn off and on between other new releases, and I’m finally just about caught up.
It feels a little surreal. This story has been part of my routine for so long that I’m curious, and maybe slightly terrified, to find out what “current reader” life is like. Do we just… wait now?
I also have to admit: I loved the Palace of Fates arc as a binge read. I can absolutely see how it might have felt different reading it chapter-to-chapter, but being able to keep going made the scope, emotional weight, and sheer chaos really work for me. My perception might change once I’m reading week to week with more time to rethink things, but as a binge? I was in.
I also stopped listening to the audiobooks once my wife picked them up, and honestly, getting to go back through the story with her has been a wonderful experience. It’s been fun watching someone else discover the moments, characters, and emotional ambushes I already knew were coming. I’m also looking forward to the new narrator and seeing how that next phase feels.
I’m already supporting the Patreon, so I guess the next step is finally checking that out more regularly.
For those of you who are current: what should I expect next? Patreon chapters? Community theories? Emotional damage in real time? All of the above?
