I put wine cap spawn in my mulch garden paths last year and I have started to see wine caps popping up after it rains over the past few weeks. Unfortunately I can’t keep any of them from getting destroyed by slugs. I have put slug traps literally right next to mushrooms as I see them popping through the mulch but they don’t touch it and go to town on the shrooms. I had 3 popping up yesterday and when I checked this morning, they were completely gone and all that was left was a pile of slime. Does anyone have any tips for what to spray or put near to help deter the slugs?
