3 weeks post ORIF

is it normal to have crazy sensations in week 3? i was spoiled in the first two weeks with virtually no pain, not a lot of swelling and no weird sensations. however, after my 2 week review and cast change, I’m now getting more swelling and little electric shocks in my ankle every so often! my doctor really hasn’t given me any parameters for what to expect so I assume it’s okay and it’s everything just settling in but everyone else seems to have had a bad two weeks and everything good from then, mine is the opposite! I’ve never had anything like this before so I just think Im after some reassurance!

context:

-bimalleolar fracture and dislocation, two screws put in ankle

-fibreglass cast

Crutches on a plane…

hi! I’m flying back to England from NI in a few weeks and I’m wondering what it looks like once on the plane. I’ve booked special assistance through the airport and into the ambulift but can I bring my crutches into the cabin to help me to my seat, or will I have to hop unaided? I can’t find any information online and the special assistance helpline didn’t mention anything!

I’ll be four weeks post op at the time of flying, I’ve been cleared to fly and it’s only a 40 min flight!
