Passed my NHA exam but can’t get an externship through Stepful…anyone else?
Has anyone else gone through this with Stepful? 😭
I completed the MA program and passed my NHA certification exam back in February, but I’ve had such a hard time finding an externship. I’ve called, emailed, and applied to so many clinics across two states, and most either never respond or say they aren’t taking externs.
I’ve also been applying to actual MA jobs and still haven’t had luck getting responses. I contacted Stepful about it, but they said they can’t release my certification/completion without the externship and haven’t really offered alternative options even though I already passed the exam. They weren’t helpful tbh.
I previously worked in healthcare as a scribe, but the company closed, so I can’t even get an employment verification from them to try to use toward my requirements.
At this point I honestly feel like I wasted my money and I’m really frustrated because I’ve been trying so hard and don’t know what else to do. Has anyone else dealt with this or found another way to complete the program requirements?
