My Fiancé (44M) and I (42f) are planning on getting married on an a cruise to Alaska in September of 2027, we will be sailing with Princess. Neither of us have ever been on a cruise before, we are working with a good friend of ours who is a travel agent as well as an avid cruiser. We are just now getting the rooms booked (I believe we have about 10 rooms for 25 people so far) so we haven’t gotten to the actual marriage portion of the planning yet. I do know my Fiancé would really like to get married on the ship at sea versus at a port. I have heard that the marriage license can be tricky for this part so I would love to know what your experiences have been. Also as far as a wedding dress goes I was hoping to wear something a that wasn’t a “formal” wedding gown but still gives a “bride” feel. I was hoping some of you have gotten married in the chilly/wet weather like this but had a gown that was versatile enough to keep you warm yet still feel like a bride. Any other tips, tricks, do’s and don’ts would be great too. Also we will be flying from Ohio to Seattle if that matters for anyones tips. Thank you!
