Two Notes Genome 2.0 - Issues with Bluetooth Midi (M-VAVE Chocolate Plus)
I recently bought a license for Genome 2.0 from Two Notes. My idea was to use this as my main guitar setup with NAM compatibility. I have no big ambitions for live sets, but still one major selling point was the midi possibilities to switch between presets.
I got myself the M-VAVE Chocolate Plus (Bluetooth Midi Switcher) and tried to set up everything. I ended up having the same issue all the time: No matter how I configure the Chocolate, Genome only sometimes switch to the right preset. Actually most of the time only the first preset switch work and afterwards the green "signal light" on the MIDI button lights up, when I push the MIDI switch again, but nothing happens. I was really frustrated with the M-VAVE Chocolate until I found out that the issue came not from the Midi Switcher but from Genome. I found the proof by trying a software called Midi Viewer, which basically displays which commands are received on my laptop (MacBook). I even tested it with another plugin (Neural DSP Nolly) and it worked without any issues.
Has anyone had similar issues with Genome Midi integration? What can I try to fix this or is this a bug in their software? It almost feels like the value sent by the Midi switcher is stuck in the software or like the first value which is received is in some kind of a loop or something...
Any help would be highly appreciated. Many thanks!
