Urgently needed help on job search strategy!! Been in job search for 6.5 months now after 1000 applications, 200+ cold emails and 100+ personal reach outs!!

I got laid off from a top tech company in late January this year. Even since market has been confusing. I hear many people getting hired and promoted but how? I got many interviews in the start of March but ever since its dead! All interviews got rejected in the last round - which is really unfortunate. I am reaching out to all the experts to provide some feedback and suggestions on the strategy to get a job asap.

  1. Is linkedin good? I hear a lot about linkedin URL change on source and time leads to possible interviews - does that work?
  2. Indeed, Glassdoor, Handshake - does these websites actually work? Been applying and reaching out but no leads till now!
  3. Other AI based websites - I hear a lot about company portal or ATS flagging AI resume or application leading to direct rejection, is this true? Should we spend on all this AI based job portal? I have been using AI application filling extensions which have been super beneficial to push more applications!
  4. Cold emails- Many people I know use this approach but never had any leads even after personalizing the email content, is anyone getting any leads through this?
  5. linkedin reach out - Zero response, even after making it simple and short! Why is this happening!

I am really requiring some support. I used AIs to build a job strategy but I am tired at this point to listen to many approach and get nothing!

Help please!

Just a quick check on if its just me or the market, been in job search for last 6 months!

Hi all,

I was laid off as part of a big tech in late Jan this year and ever since I have been on the search. It has been really tough with applications, millions of iterations of resume, billion reach outs on linkedin and trillion cold emails (ofc the numbers of just used for the impact but have done atleast 1200+ application).

I am also an immigrant on CPT visa as didn’t get lucky with my H1B, so is anyone else facing the same issue? What is the best strategy you are using if you landed in a job quick? I would really appreciate any kind of support!

Hi all,

I was laid off as part of a Seattle big tech layoff in late Jan this year and ever since I have been on the search. It has been really tough with applications, millions of iterations of resume, billion reach outs on linkedin and trillion cold emails (ofc the numbers of just used for the impact but have done atleast 1200+ application).

I am also a non-immigrant on F1 CPT visa as I didn’t get lucky with my H1B, so is anyone else facing the same issue? What is the best strategy you are using if you landed in a job quick? I would really appreciate any kind of support!
