I think a lot of people have missunderstood The Punisher Special.
When i first heard about the plot of The Punisher Special i was obviously dissapointed as were many of you, since we are all tired this whole guilt thing going around with Frank and how he is not really the Punisher and hasn't REALLY been the Punisher since Daredevil season 2.
But after watching it, to me it became pretty clear that the whole point of the special was to have Frank going through this bulshit one last time before we can get him to go full on war on crime as he seems to be in the 'Brand New Day' trailer.
John Bernthal claims to care about the character, but he never seemed to truly "get" the Punisher... until now. He wrote the thing, and if im not insane and what i got from this episode is indeed the thing he wanted to tell us, than we're in for a treat!
I think it's pretty clear we're finally about to have Daredevil season 2 Punisher on our screens again.
Now if im wrong... that sucks, it was just another recycling of this terrible character arc choice made by the higher ups and JB is actually endorsing by comming along and writing for it, but i don't think that's the case.
