I had my 2nd child in January and it was a rough labor. It ended in an emergency c section after 30 hours of labor. I remember being put on the operating table then nothing. I fell asleep during the procedure. I was only given a spinal tap. I didn’t feel anything at all. When they brought my husband in he asked if they put me to sleep because I was unconscious on the table. They said no. I woke up to them holding my baby up. Ever since that day I have wondered if I actually survived childbirth. After researching QI I am more convinced that I did not.

Is there any way to ever know or be sure? Or is it always just going to be a sneaking suspicion? Does it matter?
