Advice for newbie
I'm a 56 yo woman have my 2nd ever kidney stone. 1st was last August, 5mm, passed after a few weeks. CT scan showed I had 3 more waiting in lower pole. 10, and 2 smaller ones about 2mm each. Currently, I have an 8mm in the upper half of the ureter, and only one now 2mm still in the lower pole. Obviously this means I passed one without realizing, and the 10 reduced to 8 before I got to the ER.
I need help. Its only been a week but I am struggling with pain management while I decide whether to pursue surgery.
Any advice on how to cope with the pain, things that work, pills that work, ANYTHING.
I'm desperate to find new ways to handle the pain or make it pause. Right now im having occasional success with 500mg of acetaminophen and a heating pad and some yoga positions.
Im about to start chugging Jamesons. 😆
