What do you expected/wish for the new Unmatched?
I have been playing Unmatched extensively but casually. We tend to play 4player free-for-all, and with short-sessions, we tend not end with a definitive winner. I have high hopes for the next digital version.
What are your wishes for the next game? Here are some of mine.
My wishes
- Continue to support for mobile and PC. Support Nintendo Switch 2.
- Base game has at least 4 characters from BoL 1.
- Each Character DLC has at least 2 characters - one popular among fans and one that not. If having at least one character DLC, you can share your character to play for other players in the same match. Maybe with a limit, like 3 shares per month.
- During the declare start of your turn, a ripple effect starts from your figure. Start to highlight where that characters can go.
- So a Golden Bat, has first 0.5s on the 1-step spaces, then 0.2s on the 2-step, and 0.2s on the 3-step.
- While one like Ancient Leshen has one highlight during 0.5s, and the full 0.9s for their wolves.
- Small figures, due to their adjacent rule, actually have the first 0.5s in their own space.
- I like the progression system in Marvel Snap. As you play, you level up your character. Imagine you play as Sinbad, for every 5min you get 1 XP for Sinbad. Earn enough XP, you level up Sinbad, unlock cards version like holographic, foil, or full-art. Unlock Sinbad as account portrait. Sinbad now can be recolored to a color of your choice (basicly a one-color skin).
- Each map you can custom whether its the full-circle spaces, or the perimeter-circle spaces. Similar to the one in Battle of Legends 2.
- Each character, even during play, you can view related-mechanic. So, what is cancel. What is printed values cannot change. What is cannot move end of your turn.
- Same for each map, even during play, view related-mechanic of that map.
- Maybe in DLC, but each character has an animation for attack successfully, defense successfully, death and trigger passive.
Modes
The Co-op DLC maps probably is quite expensive. Because it contains: Map, Boss and the Boss Minions.
Maybe its weird, but once the Co-op mode Tales to Amaze and Tean Mutant Ninja Turtles eventually come, what if there is a solo rogue-like mode.
- You fight bosses that either using the Innitiative systems, or just AI using normal rules.
- Every character then may get boost: You gain random boost for being in a roguelike mode, bosses get stronger being... bosses.
- Something like: Start the run picking 3 characters you have. All characters get shuffle 6 weak cards: Attack 1-4, Defense 1-2. After a game, there is an event. It can be: You discard 2 cards in one character deck permanently, add an item to a card and increase the num of card in deck by 1.
- Maybe the characters health stay after each combat. And start the run with +3 health each. So some nodes after combat can be: Heal 3 to a certain character, or revive a dead ally to 5 health.
Items to card can be:
* +1 to attack value for attack cards.
* +1 to defense value for defense cards.
* If this is your first card this turn, +2 attack.
* Defense: If my innitiative is not in the discarded deck, +1 to defense.
* The 2 Dr. Jill Trent effects can just be 2 items.
