I had them back in 2006~2007, i lost Mater, and same was with McQueen (when my we moved in another apartament, and my parents forgot him or lost him, idk), so, after 18 years i decided to find them on internet and order) They both was my favorite toys~figures, so many memories...

Still, waiting for other characters from collection (Flo, Ramone, Doc, Luigi, Sally & Fillmore), should deliver tomorrow c:

Pixar not really clear about when and how they decided to change character or story, they certainly took some characters/models from The Yellow Car to reuse in American Car and Cars later (Characters which later became Fillmore & Sergeant, Fire truck, Sheriff, and they re-do BMW Isetta main character into Fiat 500/Luigi), and in 2000s decided to change story to racer which get in Radiator Springs and damaged the property, and should do the race to bring some customers in town, but later in story McQueen crashes.
Then they probably decided to do "Doctor Hollywod" story~like plot, with some changes.
It was probably 2001, which had more side stories and ideas (dream about ripped engine, driving school and cars graveyard) than final movie.
In 2003 they resculpt and rework model, as they said in Behind The Scene he was looking like just simple stock nascar car, and wanted to do him special, not like others.
Probably in 2003~2004 they developed Rusteze and other sponsors, and changed it to "95".
Not clear about Spoiler angle and he doesn't have "rookie" yellow like on rear bumper on some footages from Behind The Scenes, but it's probably pre-release.

Acording to interned, this teaser trailer were showing in The Incredibles (2004) in theathers, and Home on the Range (2004) VHS and DVD on September 14, 2004.
Somewhere it saying it's 2005, somewhere saying it's 2004.

If 2004, it's only year after Bob Pauley & Jerome Ranft did resculpt/redesign in 2003. And in 2003 it yet was number "57".

McQueen's eyes feels lack of eye blow shadows, when Mater looks pretty finished.

Most of them can be found in 1600x1200 without problem, but this one hard to find in quality higher than 720x358
