Could Shirou trace weapons from Destiny?
Had this random thought and couldn’t find any discussion so I am bring it here for just some thoughts. Could Shirou or Archer trace weapons from the Destiny Universe. With how Destiny has terms like Acausal and Paracausal, I was wondering if they would be like divine constructs where Shirou couldn’t understand the methods of creation.
Basic rundown for anyone who doesn’t know what acausal and Paracausal mean in the context of Destiny, they deal with breaking the laws of physics and causality or cause and effect. Acausal is like you know the rules of the universe and can therefore cheat or bypass the rules, but you still need the rules to find side step. Paracausal is like you reject the rules all together and make your own.
I might not have the best explanation of the concepts so I’ll link some discussions and sources that could better explain it then me.

I could be wrong about this, but mate craft seems like an acausal phenomenon since it is bypassing the rules of the world by understanding them and finding a workaround.
Some seem more doable than others like Cerberus+1 which is just a bunch of guns welded together or Chaperone which is more a well crafted shotgun. Others are more iffy since they are but things bordering on like acausal or somewhat paracausal methods like Vexcalibur or Graviton Lance. Then there are the fully paracausal like Winterbite, Lubrae’s Ruin, Hive Swords, and especially Ergo Sum.
Some quick explanations on some of the weapons shown:
- Cerberus+1 is a gun made of multiple destroyed guns combined with the Photonic Heart (I’m assuming a Golden Age tech) with multiple barrels that all fire.
- The Chaperone is a shotgun based on the gun of the same name that Amanda Holiday’s mother made and used and was buried with. To my knowledge, it is a regular lever action shotgun, just really well made.
- Hierarchy of Needs is a bow with Warmind (Golden Age AI technology designed for strategic orbital and land warfare and so advance that the enemies that simulate and predicted practically anything not Paracausal have trouble doing so to them) tech used to conquer wild planets by Warmind soldiers. Also has a crippled AI that escaped into the bow.
- The Lamnet is a sword that is essentially also a saw that can tear through Vex metal frames easily.
- Graviton Lance is a pulse rifle that shoots miniature black holes by Golden Age tech. Also theorized to be based off the weapon that killed JFK.
- Ticuu’s Divination is a bow that was made by Psions (aliens that are telepaths and quite strong since that’s how they usually communicate and express) of the Cabal. It fires arrows that always hit by “putting time in it” that are always when you hit unless you were always going to miss.
- Vexcalibur is a glance found in the Vex (aliens that are acausal by their understanding of the universe to the point they can time travel and simulate practically everything but paracausality) Network and is construct through that Network.
- Praxic Blade is a sword like a light saber (due to the expansion being heavily inspired by Star Wars) that is the focusing of Light or Darkness to form the blade crystal.
- Verglas Curve is a bow that shoots Stasis (Paracausal power of the Darkness that is absolute zero, not cold but the stopping of the movement on an atomic level) arrows that create stasis crystals.
- Hive Swords are swords wielded by the Hive. Vary in strength and affect, usually by the wielder. Operate on the Sword Logic of what they kill they consume in power cause the sword remembers. Are steeped in Darkness and crafted from alien material.
- Winterbite is a glaive that was recovered by the would be settlers of Neomuna after whatever attacked their ship was dealt with and left it behind. Outside of Vexcalibur and a I think a few others, glaives are the weapons of the Disciples of the Witness which was the final enemy in the Light and Dark saga of Destiny, who at the end could calcify the entire universe if not stopped. These glaives were gifted by the Witness to its disciples for they are either weapons they already had that were given power through Darkness or fully created to suit the weilder.
- Lubrae’s Ruin is the glaive of Rhulk the First Disciple. This one was a weapons that was remade twice with the last time being through the Witness.
- Ergo Sum is a sword created by the Traveler in its Heart for the Guardian, the player character, so it’s safe to say it’s fully Paracausal.
