Generally lighthearted show recs?
Wanna get back into it after a 4-year long break and I need something to specifically watch in the background, probably dubbed (not a native but a decent english speaker so i can choose either language, good english dubs' recommendations are appreciated). Something not too heavy on the plot, charming characters, maybe slice of life-ey, young adult stuff. Occasional heavy themes are ok, but im not a fan of dark fantasy and general tragedy in gritty worlds. Difficult plot twist allegory mindfuck however is okay, but mention if it is one of those.
IMPORTANT: the one main criteria, above all else, is I don't want to watch an anime that gives me an impression that the creator likes children. It instantly kills any immersion and care I have for the show. I didn't get back into anime for so long specifically because I realised it made me desensitized to that stuff as a kid.
My favourite anime I've ever watched is Mob Psycho 100 if that's anything.
