I'm wanting to start a franchise and was wondering what kind of house rules you follow to make the seasons more fun. I use a lot of simulation because I like my seasons to feel shorter. The off-season is where more of the fun is for me. Here's a couple house rules I like.

1. During the regular season I will only play my division rivals and 1 more game of my choosing. All other games are simulated.

2. I simulate the first round of my playoffs unless I get the #1 seed.
