I rapidly consumed the Kenzie and Gennaro series. They were nice, fast paced, easy reads after busy days which had enough twists, suspense, and light comedy mixed in. I'm a big fan of crime fiction, but I don't always want to read a procedural after a mentally taxing day.

Any suggestions for something similar? It doesn't have to be a series, although having something with some longevity would be an added bonus.
