Yesterday's Boulder Uncovering

My hunch from last trip was confirmed as I worked behind a large boulder that is buried in the ground. I found an even more submerged boulder behind the buried boulder I was working on uncovering. Unfortunately I didn't anticipate this new found hunk of rock and I had piled up tailings on top of it. I'm thinking about pushing back my tailings wall and just bare bones working behind both buried boulders.

1.55 Grams on the scale from yesterday with the largest piece being a little picker coming in at 0.09 Grams.

Saturday's Course Correction

Last trip the pay streak stopped paying and I came home with light pockets for the day.

Yesterday's trip yielded better results as I tried to locate a new pay streak. The area from yesterday I worked had little pay pockets dispersed along some buried boulders. I'm thinking that uncovering the back end of the buried boulders will yield a nice pay streak but that's next weekend's mission.

Saturday's Strike-Out

I went back to my spot to hit the pay streak that I've been working the last three Saturdays. The previous trips yielded 1.90G, 2.25G & 2.15G.

Yesterday sputtered out 0.49G + 0.12G Mercury Amalgam picker. Looks like my pay streak ran out of funds so I'm calling this trip a "Strike-Out".

I did find an old coin that I believe is a heavily corroded penny (Picture 3). I haven't found a coin before so that's new to me.

Saturday's Efforts

Ran ~17-18 buckets of material which was less volume than I was wanting but a boulder had to be evicted which took up a lot of time + energy. The piece of the day was a 0.14G Amalgam picker that was immediately introduced into a quarantine vial (Picture 4).

Yesterday's Finds

Some 4th of July finds from yesterday. Ran about ~50 gallons of classified material. I also had some amalgam pieces I put into a quarantine vial that I haven't weighed yet.

First Day Out This Season!

Water levels have finally dropped enough to hit my spot so today was my first day out on the river this year. Smoke checked myself hiking and digging all day but had a decent haul. Little unfortunate it was so heavy on the mercury amalgam but into the "tainted" vial it goes!
