After a few failed root canals, I'm getting a top denture. Surgery is Monday.

I currently wear a partial for my front teeth but all the teeth on my upper right side are root canaled. I have a couple where my dentist used a bridge. (Approximately 20 years ago)

I started feeling pain about 3 years ago and had a bump on my gums above the bridge but my dentist took X-rays and said nothing was wrong... The bump is just my natural boning in my gums. I went to a new dentist after having a panic attack during a visit and the dentist got up and left the room, and was totally pissed off at me. (That's the long story short)

New dentist at Abra Dental, they tell me I need the bridge replaced with separate crowns... They wanted to wait until they did another root canal in front of the bridge to start, but that root canal failed after 2 months. The oral surgeon told me my entire upper right portion needs to be removed. My insurance approved me for partials, but I don't think they would fit correctly, and I brought this up to the surgeon and he agreed, so Monday morning I am getting all of my upper teeth removed and getting fitted for a full denture on top in 2 weeks.

I'm so nervous. I'm seriously worried about my face getting sunken in. After losing my front 5 teeth I noticed my mouth looks different over the years.

I'm also nervous about being put to sleep! I've been clean for many years and I definitely don't want this to possibly lead to a relapse.

Good evening everyone! I'm asking this question because I want to make my mother a nice dinner for Mother's Day. She wears dentures and she said no steak. I wear partials but only for a couple of teeth in the front, so I can still eat most things. I know my Mom struggles with her dentures. I'm looking for ideas on meals to cook this Sunday.

Any and all help is extremely appreciated!! ❤️
