Western student explains why she used AI on closed-book exam

A colleague sent me this article, and I’m not sure what to say.

“In certain situations people just want to do well, students, and I fall into this category, that knows cheating is not right, you just go along with it because the robot is going to be better at wording of a professional essay”

I’m sorry… what?
I know academic dishonesty is wrong, but because AI is better at writing than I, I just go along with it.

This is most likely the stupidest article I read all month. Folks, we’re doomed.

On that note, I’m switching careers to be a neurosurgeon! AI can help me with the surgery, right?

Sent an email to my postgrad cohort yesterday asking when they would like to meet, asking for peoples availability and a summary of what they have been working on so we can reconcile.

Got a reply this morning.

“Yes”

I need a vacation.
How’s everyone’s week going?
