First ADA Tank (60p)
This tank will be a lot of firsts since It’s been some time since I’ve gotten into the hobby. I used to mainly do Walstad no filter heavily planted tanks when I was poor in college. First ADA, first time trying iwagumi style, and first high tech tank. Im trying to keep the tank Japanese themed because I was inspired to make this tank after studying abroad in Japan for 3 months.
Scaped the tank this weekend with dwarf hair grass as the main carpet and hydrocotyle Japan and Anubis Nana petite for accents. Removing the floating plants to add to a 5 gallon ADA tank Im scaping for my girlfriend’s beta fish. They’re just in there to help with the nitrogen cycle.
Planning on adding Medaka or Celestial Pearl Danios, Amano Shrimp, Otoccinulus and potentially some trophy fish like a gourami pair or something. Not going to overstock and just throwing ideas around for now.
Would love some critiques and tips to make it look more natural. I’d like to get better since the hobby is really popular in my area, mainly saltwater, but I just love the entry level for freshwater. I think I did a pretty good job and I’m looking forward to seeing how it turns out in a couple of months :)
