Are there actually companies in Singapore seriously supporting employees who want kids?
Curious if anyone here actually works at a company in Singapore that’s genuinely supportive of people who want to have kids.
Not just the basic maternity leave everyone legally has to provide, but policies/culture that actually make starting a family feel realistic.
Things like:
- proper parental leave for both parents
- flexible or remote work without hurting your career
- reasonable expectations/hours after having kids
- childcare support
- managers who don’t quietly sideline parents during promotion time
- fertility / IVF support
Feels like we talk a lot about Singapore’s low TFR, but honestly I rarely hear people mention companies that are actually doing this well in practice.
Would be interesting to hear which firms are getting it right, and what policies genuinely make a difference in real life.
