Why are they always in bathrooms?
Why are BTS always in the bathroom in music videos? 2.0, Normal, Run, I Need U, Yoongi in a tub in Haegum, Namjoon in Come Back to Me...there might be more.
In Normal- the bathroom is clean and they are using it as intended. Not splashing around, throwing things, being in a tub in the middle of a room. As though the clean fancy toilet represents their growth and sophistication. They are engaging in behavior typically done in private showing that they are, at the end of the day, normal. They are who they are. They do their business like the rest of us. It could also represent the invasion of fans/media experienced by idols. It's difficult for BTS to live private lives and the level of scrutiny, I'd imagine, might feel like they can't even take a piss without someone noticing, for good or bad. Yes, they are BTS and their life is luxurious at times, but also isolating and lonely (a lot of their scenes are individual and the members are alone). But they still come together. Over a normal ass thing like peeing.
Just curious as to why this seems to be a theme in their music videos. BTS is often very intentional about the symbolism, and I feel like there might be something to this. Or maybe I'm crazy.
