Metformin for PCOS?
So for the past 2 years, I was on Wegovy to help manage my weight and PCOS symptoms. I saw great results, losing 80 lbs and had regular periods for the first time in my life. With new insurance changes, my prescription was going to cost $900+ a month so I decided to go off of it in January. Since then, I have gained back 40 lbs and have gone a couple months without a period.
One of my friends is a PA and suggested I try Metformin as it is something that helps many of her patients. Does anyone have experience with Metformin and did it help with your PCOS management?
Thank you :)
