Martin Logan Dynomo 1000w clicks then pops intermittently
this amazing sounding subwoofer, which still works perfectly when listening to music and watching movies and content, likes to click click click click, then pop pop like capacitive discharge when you shut down a subwoofer. It does this intermittently every 30 minutes to an hour while only being plugged into power no wireless signal no hard signal just the power plugged into the wall and it does this, so deductively the origin must be the subwoofer alone it does this no matter what power circuit it is on and it has done this in two different homes, an older home, and a brand new custom built home with a double grounded system.
From my research I have found this is a pretty common problem as this is my second dynamo, had a 700w first and it did the same thing, but much worse. and as I mentioned, the subwoofer works fine when in use and sounds amazing. I mean it really is a great subwoofer but this is just an annoying problem I just don’t wanna deal with. Is there a known fix? I mean it seems like it would be a simple circuit problem where there is a buildup of charge in some part of the circuit and it just lets go instead of being discharged to ground through some logic circuit that probably should be there.
this is unfortunately made me wary of Martin Logan equipment as I am never going to purchase any Martin Logan audio equipment again, I’m probably gonna go with an SVS next.
