I'm totally lost here and need help with this project. I received a peninsula from a relative that I'd like to use as an island. The problem is that the exposed side needs to match the existing veneer. There's also a patch of veneer missing on another side, but I have the piece that broke off and could glue it back on.

Basically, I'm trying to figure out if I should go ahead and re-veneer the whole thing or just try to clean up the existing veneer and add new on one side. And could I just add peel and stick veneer on top of what's already there? Or should I just hire somebody and save myself some heartache lol

Any advice is greatly appreciated!
