Multiplayer Hosting Question
Hello all, as the title says I was curious about options for multiplayer Hosting.
I am working on a small racing game that I would like to be able to make multiplayer. I know the game probably won't make any money so I wasn't wanting to pay for a dedicated server. I know I can have the players host games from their computer and have others join.
As far as cheating and security goes, if matches are player hosted does that make it really easy for them to cheat? Is player hosting reliable for something like a racing game?
Are there good free options for a server hosting that won't price gouge you after a free trial?
Just looking at options, apologize for the beginning question, just looking for some guidance, thank you!
