Family of 2 not looking to expand. I have absolutely fallen in love with the 2bed townhouse here, but 3.9 is a ridiculous ask.

We currently rent from a different garden apartment complex, and have been here 15+ years. My question is has anyone had luck with negotiating prices here? We would be willing to pay more upfront sign a longer lease and provide a great reference, so usually that would work, but I’m not sure in “this economy”.

And I’m talking asking for 3k/month kind of reduction.
