L5/S1 disc ROAD TO RECOVERY

NOBODY CAN HELP YOU IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO HELP YOURSELF.ROAD TO RECOVERY IS TOUGH BUT NOT IMPOSSIBLE
L5/S1 disc and sciatic pain is being managed through a consistent routine that has already shown clear improvement, including no or minimal morning pain, no pain or very little discomfort while walking, and easier movement when getting out of the car. Day-to-day life now feels much more comfortable, with pain greatly reduced during normal activities.
The routine includes light walking to stay mobile and reduce stiffness, while avoiding bending and twisting movementsthat can trigger symptoms. A lumbar cushion while sitting or driving and a pillow between the legs during sleep help support spinal alignment and reduce pressure on the lower back. Supportive habits such as fish oil, turmeric with black pepper, and good hydration are included to support overall inflammation control and tissue health.
A structured rehab program including bird dog, side plank, cobra pose, nerve glides (lying down), hamstring stretches, pelvic tilts, and partial curls is performed in a controlled, pain-free range to build core strength, improve mobility, and support nerve recovery.
Staying positive and consistent is key. Negative thinking is avoided, because recovery takes time and patience. This is the third week of training, and progress is already visible—small daily efforts are adding up and making a real difference.

Recovery phase

A small update on my healing journey 🙏
A few weeks ago, my MRI findings showed:
• Posterior and right paracentral disc protrusion at L5/S1 impinging the origin of the right S1 nerve root
• Bilateral sacroiliitis
At one stage, the pain was radiating down into my calf and affecting daily life. But after consistently doing stretches for the last 2.5 weeks, I’m finally noticing real progress.
The calf pain has almost disappeared and is now only a very mild discomfort in the buttock area. The morning pain and stiffness are gone, which honestly feels like a huge win.
What makes me happiest is that I’m now walking nearly 13000 steps a day again.
Still recovering, still learning patience, but grateful to see improvement little by little. Consistency really does matter. 💪
