Most recommendations I have seen are for general AP studying or MCQs, but I’m looking more for resources tailored towards the short answer written component of the exam.

Does anyone have good beginner-friendly cytology book recommendations for residents with limited cytology exposure?
I was told to read the Cibas cytology book by some pathologists, but honestly I find it too dense as an intro book. Some seniors recommended Fang Fan’s cytology review book, but it seems more like a Qbank rather than something for beginners.
I also don’t get a lot of exposure to cytology since most specimens are prepped and sent away.
Would really appreciate recommendations for something more concise, practical, and easier to read.
