How do you market a zero-risk product in an industry where everyone assumes you’re a scammer? I need user acquisition advice.
Hey everyone,
I’m a CS student and I recently built a side project. It’s a reward platform (GPT site) where users get paid to do ultra-safe tasks.
I built this because I hate how scammy the industry is. I made sure my site fixes all the usual red flags:
- Users never pay a single cent.
- Tasks take literally minutes (I highly recommend the app testing tasks—it's just downloading official apps from the App Store/Google Play. No sketchy links).
- Surveys are strictly for famous, trusted brands.
- I made the revenue split totally public (70% to the user, 30% to me).
I even went as far as putting a guarantee on my own profile: If my code fails to pay them, I literally buy them a $5 gift card out of my own pocket and show them my Admin Panel to prove I'm not hiding anything.
Here is my problem : Because the GPT industry is notoriously full of scammers, people's scam radars are at 100%. Even though it costs them absolutely nothing to try, and the tasks are completely safe, getting those first 100 active users is incredibly hard
For the marketers and founders here: How do you build trust from scratch in a "poisoned" niche?
Should I be making TikToks showing the backend? Should I reach out to specific gaming communities? How do you convince people that something isn't "too good to be true" but just a fair mathematical split?
I'm a developer, not a marketer, so any brutal honesty or strategies would be highly appreciated
