Currently, I am a FA general foreman (+6 years). I took sound and comm back in 2019 to show my readiness for inside wireman. I passed the aptitude in Nov 2025 and called the training center to confirm a Fall 2026 interview date. I’m not green so I am expecting a big decision before thanksgiving.

During my apprenticeship, I heard of guys leaving and rejoining to access their pensions. If I am to reclassify, what hurdles would I experience if I left the union and rejoined for my inside gig? Has anyone had experience in turning out from sound and comm to inside?
