Irregular Periods 19F
I started having periods at the age of 12, but they have never been month to month and they come whenever they please. When they first started they would come every few months and as I got older the distance in between got longer.
A few years ago I had a period that lasted an entire year which was not heavy bleeding but moderate spotting to the point where I wore pads the whole time. I was placed on birth control and after a few months the bleeding stopped. I had been on it nonstop for almost two years before deciding to stop in November of last year. I had a period in early December and have not had one since.
I have seen my gynecologist quite a few times and she says it’s normal and that she herself had the same experience. I looked up symptoms for PCOS/PMOS and I don’t have other symptoms outside of irregular periods. I also have MDD and generalized anxiety disorder. I worry that something is wrong with my body. Has anyone had this same experience and should I be concerned?
