Finished Amex’s FRP early (~14 months out of 36), been off it about 1.5 months. Never missed a payment throughout. Already put $5.5k on my Blue Cash Preferred and PIF since finishing.

Applied for the Green, got denied with a letter citing the FRP. When I completed the program, Amex sent an email saying it can take up to 12 months before they’ll approve new products.

Three questions:

1. Anyone in a similar situation, how long after FRP completion were you able to get approved?
2. Any workarounds? Recon line worth trying? Would heavy spend + PIF on the BCP help speed things up?
3. Should I even bother requesting a CLI on my BCP right now, or would that hurt my chances of getting approved for a new card down the line? If so, when would you recommend trying?
