Recent 2026 spring grad

Hi everyone! I’m a recent grad and I wanted to know how can I be more involved in my HBCU as a grad student since I didn’t have the traditional HBCU experience…. I attended TSU as a working adult in my late twenties.

Hi everyone! I’m currently working as a Learning Coach with Houston ISD and I’m preparing to move into a full-time teaching role.

In my position, I:

•	Work with small groups to support reading and math skills

•	Help reinforce lessons and close learning gaps

•	Support classroom management and student engagement

•	Collaborate with teachers to support diverse learners

I want to make sure I’m presenting this experience in the strongest way possible on my resume and in interviews.

For those of you who are teachers or have transitioned from support roles:

•	What parts of this experience stand out most to hiring principals?

•	Is there anything I should emphasize more or reword?

•	Any tips for turning this into a strong teaching candidate profile?

I’d really appreciate any advice!
