I have 8.46kw of solar. 2 EVs. Using approximately 18,000kwh per year. I feel like I only need 1 Powerwall + 1 expansion, but the cost to add another expansion battery is very negligible.

Is there any downside to getting a 3rd one?

EDIT: Miscommunication with the installer. The difference is actually $2.8k to go from 1 Powerwall + 1 expansion battery to 1 Powerwall + 2 expansion batteries. However, I’d be getting an additional $440/yr through VPP. Still worth it right?
