Bobtot kw88 surround sound

Having trouble pairing dish remote to control bobtot 5.1 surround system. Its hooked up by hdmi so it will turn on and off with tv, but doesn't control volume. Have tried the pairing wizard option but obviously bobtot is not a popular known brand. Now im getting a message "only 4 brands can be paired per day", have no idea how 4 are paired when it still doesn't control volume. Anyone have any tips or know of a 4 digit code?

Help

Looking to add full surround system not just soundbar if possible. Tried the Onn 5.1.2 but was very muffled with dialogue. Tried placing soundbar at very front of tv but don't think I had enough clearance for the upward speakers to clear TV. Raising TV is not option (some will say too high already) but it works for the size room its in as its an open floor concept that leads directly into kitchen. Also concerned if using upward firing speakers if the 12" bulkhead would affect sound. Am I stuck with just using a 5.1 or 7.1 that shoots sound straight at viewer? Looked at under TV mounts but not sure if would be much help. Any suggestions?
