What to do when you don't like where the story is going?
My first book was an erotic thriller with heavy themes and a generally melancholic tone. I decided to test the waters and write a "slice of life" style story this time, but I think light narratives aren't my cup of tea. I'm experiencing major writer's block because I'm unsure of what to do. Has this ever happened to you?
I don't want to drop the book and stop publishing it, so I'd like to hear about the experiences of other writers who have gone through this and what they did.
