Finally, I got an offer!!
This week I didn't get just one offer, no, I got three job offers, and all of them are remote, but one of them pays better and is permanent instead of contract. Sorry if this sounds like I'm bragging. I remember very well how much it hurt when I was still applying and would see posts like this, but I think most of us share to reassure people that this really can happen!! Keep sending out apps, and seriously, watch out for scams! Anything outside Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or Google Meet is probably sketchy. Especially if they want you on Telegram or WhatsApp, or they send you a message out of nowhere. But most importantly, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
The four sites I used the most were ZipRecruiter, Rat Race Rebellion, Indeed, and FlexJobs. I also looked a bit at HiringCafe, and I would come here from time to time to look for leads. But ZipRecruiter and Rat Race Rebellion are the ones that got me real remote work with benefits and everything.
I start on Wednesday!! Wish me luck, and please keep your heads up!! I know rejection emails are really awful, but if someone like me could find something, then none of you should count yourselves out. A lot of you are probably more educated than me and have a stronger work history too! Don't carry a garbage job market on your shoulders. You are qualified; these companies just want more work for less money.
The workplace engagement survey just dropped 😂

How do I ask my manager to stop reviewing my work 45 minutes before I leave?
He reviews my work at 4:15, and the changes he asks for usually take more than 45 minutes for me to finish. So I find myself sitting in the office until 6:30, 7:30, or 8:30, even though I'm supposed to leave at 5:30.
What's bothering me is that he could easily review the work a little earlier in the afternoon. But instead, he leaves it until right before the time I'm supposed to leave.
