E Bike / Deliveroo Driver Went Into the Back of Me
Driving home from work there. Going down a cobbled street, very bumpy, going around 10-15 miles per hour, max. Very narrow street, cars parked both sides, only enough room for one car to pass through the middle. 4x4 coming the other way, I stop, flash him through. Few seconds pass, and an ebike/ deliveroo driver goes into the back of me, bit of a whack, but not too hard.
I get out, ask the guy if he's okay, he says "yeah" and "what happened bro?" I explain its a narrow street, I need to stop to let the others guy through. I've drove up and down this street hundreds of times. I ask again if he's sure hes okay. He says yeah. I check my car, no damage, I ask if his bike is okay, he says yeah. We shake hands, and he shoots off.
I'm completely shaken. I've been driving for years, and I've never had anything close to an accident. Now I've got home and come to my senses that the guy shot off without us exchanging details. I've replayed the incident in my head countless times, but I really don't think I could've done anything different regarding the actual accident. I must have been going 15 miles per hour max and slowed to a stop. Now I'm terrified because he left before we could exchange details, and am worried about what the repercussions will be. I honestly feel sick.
