Bought this "not working" iPod 5th gen for cheap. Can I fix it up and get it working easy or am I cooked?
I just bought this "for parts only", "not working" iPod classic 5th gen on eBay for cheap (by today's standards) on a whim. By the looks of it I'm guessing the battery is just swollen? I'm really hoping it only needs a new battery, modern hard drive replacement, and just a bit of TLC and a wet wipe I'll be back in working order.
Is there anything I'm missing? Or anything I should look out for? I'd love to mod it also so if there's recommendations for that I'd love to hear them.
