How I hope to save the Smackdown tag team division in a few months
It might be very niche, but this idea stuck with me.
I, much like many others, find it frustrating that the tag division in WWE is not taken seriously, and it seems more prudent in the Smackdown side of things. Raw has the line up of the Usos, the Vision, Creed brothers, Street Profits (Likely next champs), Alpha Academy (I'm still pissed they didn't win the titles off the Usos, but I hope they would beat the Profits for the titles), and LWO. On Smackdown, the champs are the surprisingly solid and entertaining duo of R-Truth and Damian Priest, Fraxiom (the next champs, hopefully), Los Garza (I would also like their title reign, but that's a lot less likely), and you can make the case for The Miz and Kit Wilson, but I don't see it last in this manner.
So here's what I'm thinking. On AAA, we have the War Raiders winning the tag titles as effective heels. They already won the Raw and NXT tag titles, so after losing their titles at some point (to LWO or Los Garza, I hope, they're all great, please justify their existence and use them), the Raiders would transfer to Smackdown for immortality, to win the WWE tag team triple crown.
But who would they face? Well, in this scenario, we need a few things to go right. Mainly, Seth Rollins winning King of the Ring. Now, I really want LA Knight to win (and be crowned LA King, if we're being honest) to go on and beat Roman for the title. But since I'm not ready to have my heart broken once more, I'll give this one to Rollins. It also relies on Lesner interfering with Oba's next match, which would allow Bron Breakker to go to the finals, where Rollins could win and finish this feud. Then, Rollins vs Reigns at Summerslam, Reigns wins.
Beaten but satisfied that he has ended the Vision, Rollins transfers to Smackdown, to also cement his legacy. He's the second ever 2-time grand slam champ, but he's very close to being the only wrestler (I think, maybe Edge has also done it, but I'm not 100%) to win every title and accomplishment during his tenure (sort of an "ultimate grand slam") - WWE, world heavyweight, universal, intercontinental, US, Raw tag team, MITB, Royal Rumble, KOTR, Crown Jewel. The only things missing are the Smackdown tag team title, and Elimination Chamber (for which he could challenge next year).
So he transfers to Smackdown, but he has no friends, no one to tag with. Until... He's back. Kevin Owens would return from injury to Smackdown, and tag with Rollins! I really enjoyed their brief run as a tag team a few years back, I feel like that would be great. Imagine, Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens (I think an apt name would be "Freakin' KO") feuding with the War Raiders, each fight to be in the history books.
A tag team triple threat at Wargames/Crown Jewel between Fraxiom (c) vs War Raiders vs Freakin' KO. I smell a 5 star match waiting to happen.
