Sorry for the bad quality images. I already buried this stone with the tree so I had to take screenshots of a video. Is this stone suitabke for root over rock? It is very rectangular. It has 2 flat sides and 2 short sides. Also it would be helpful if someone could identify this rock
I bought myself a couple of juniperus communis. I've heard that they can be tricky to keep alive, but I'm up to the challange. After scrolling through this sub, I noticed alot of different junipers dying. Under these posts there even are memes about junipers dying.
I really though it was just communis. Is communis even harder to keep alive than more widespread bonsai species? (I know that communis especially struggles with yamadori, because of the removal of fungus)
Why are junipers popular as bonsai, if they seem to die relatively easy?
