The goo came out of my implant crown. Is it severely off center?

The constant pressure has over time turned to constant ache. Now the tooth next to it seems to be darkening. They keep acting like it’s fine. Am I gonna lose my tooth? How do I get them to fix this? Is it even fixable without removal? I have already paid thousands of dollars for this. I can’t afford to get a second opinion or move the work to another dentist. I’m so scared.

I have constant pressure around my implant and it’s worse now with the crown

I just want to start of by saying, I am not good at advocating for myself. I have anxiety disorder and a fear of ending up with a result that is way worse.

So I got my implant #12 Iabout 7 months ago. At my follow up I complained that there was constant pressure on the neighboring canine. They shrugged it off and said to let them know if it continued or got worse. I didn’t have another appt with them until the assessment for my crown. At that appt I brought it up again. I told them it’s not pain but constant discomfort. They said it was probably that my healing cap was too big.

So, I went back a month later to get the crown put on and when she was done it looked flat and unnatural and was achy for days. Also, after she had it in, I asked her about a large dark spot on the next tooth that a dentist had once told me was just a stain.

She told me she could buff that right out with a tool that wouldn’t hurt the enamel. The end result was a gaping hole in that tooth. She said it was a cavity below the surface and that I needed to go see my regular dentist and get it filled.

A few days passed and not only did I hate the way it looked but there was a large gap between the crown and my gums where food kept getting stuck so I called and they said to come in for an evaluation.

They took the usual Xray and said that a new crown needed to be made and they would do it in-house. The new crown looks arguably better than the first but there is still a constant dull ache and pressure on my canine when biting. Also, one side of it is above my gums enough that not only is food getting trapped there but in order to floss is out, I have to floss to the post and sometimes the floss gets stuck on something. It aches more after.

I know I probably sound weak but confrontations like this are physically painful. I’m just not really sure what to do. I’m afraid it was implanted too close to my canine which would mean taking it out, bone grafting, months more of healing, new implant, more months of healing and the whole time a gaping hole in my smile. I just don’t understand. They took an xray every appt. If it was too close and I was telling them it was uncomfortable, why wouldn’t he want to fix it before it got fully integrated? What am I missing here?

Anybody have any similar experiences with implants?
