Deciding between the MBP M5 Pro 24gb ram (15-16 cores) and the MBP M5 with 32gb ram (10-10 cores). Amazon has both for $2000 for M5 Pro and $1800 for M5. Says the 32gb M5 wouldn’t ship till early June which sucks but don’t need immediately.

Use cases: Coding/App Development (mostly Python and JavaScript, may dabble with iOS dev), entry level music production, lots of streaming and web browsing/research, maybe some gaming.

I’d like a more future proof machine as I will not be upgrading for 5+ years minimum. I’ve kept my 2015/16 MacBook Air for 10 years. I also have a PC with a 3060ti and 24gb ram, ryzen 5 5600x 6 cores which I’m hanging onto for gaming.

Any thoughts are appreciated!
