Is the Lems Trail Thrasher Pro worth it? Similar shoes to it?

Is the Lems Trail Thrasher Pro worth it? Similar shoes to it?

With the winter coming up, I'm looking into buying an all rounder shoe and the Lems Trail Thrasher Pro looks - at least on paper - to be able to handle a lot.

I know their restocks come and go fast, but is there anyone on here that owns them and can share how they are? My biggest worry is that they're not going to be wide or high enough. I don't have the widest feet ever, but they're a good 10.6cm (4.2 inches) at their widest and I like my shoes roomy, both in the toebox wide-wise, but also volume-wise in the front and in the arches. I wear a size 46 (us12) on most of my shoes.

Apart from that, is there maybe a similar shoe that I need to have on my radar? Looking for something that'll last, so I really like the Nubuck leather option, that's at least semi waterproof for bike commuting, with a similar lift so I can take it to the odd trail here and there and that doesn't look too eccentric. I was looking at the Lono Wild and the Xero Scrambler Trail Low, but the former looks a bit too funky for my liking and the latter is apparently too slippery even in everyday conditions. It's a shame because I love how the Xero looks and I tried a similar Xero shoe (wasn't the trail model, but a similar one) and it was incredibly roomy.

Thanks!

Brambas Calabria first thoughts

Just got the Brambas Calabria as my first barefoot shoes and I'm relatively happy with them. Let's see in the long run, but for now they look like the most non-barefoot looking barefoot shoes. From above they look a bit duck feety, but from every other angle they really look like vans or nikes. Not exactly, or course, but they definitely don't look out of place.

As sizing goes, at first I went for 44, because of their size guide, but they were too small, at least for my liking and I sized up two sizes to 46 (what I usually get in non barefoot shoes). To be fair, I do like my shoes roomy, but their cm sizing seemed huge, but that's not the case at all. All good with the return process, ups came and picked them up from my house even.

I've seen these being reviewed as high volume friendly, but imho if you have big volume feet, maybe these are not the best choice. I have medium to high volume feet and I've had to remove the insoles for them to be fully comfortable.

In the few hundred meters I've walked in them, I've noticed a faint squeaky noise as well, hope it goes away as they rub out.

In the last two pictures there are two small imperfections on them, out of the box, but I'm not going to make a big deal out of it, they look great.

Overall, really happy with them, especially with how they look. I think a lot of people are afraid to try barefoot shoes, because they look a little peculiar. These are the perfect introduction to the category imo. If I like them maybe I also get the Xero Scrambler Trail Lows for rainy days and chill hikes.

Sportstyle shoe recommendations after 3D foot scan

I recently got so fed up with my nike p-6000s that I went to new balance to replace them on the spot. There, a very helpful employee scanned my foot and I realized I have a pretty weird foot anatomy. They didn't end up having what I wanted there, so I'm still looking.

Again, currently I'm annoyed by my p-6000's (biggest issue is big toe space). I had the asics gel venture 6 before which was lovely, but all the colorways now are just fugly. Which sportstyle shoes would you recommend for relatively wide feet with a high instep?

I'm eyeing the gt-2160, which runrepeat lists as wide, but opinions vary on that. People actually say that it's narrower than the 1130, for example.

I'm also considering the gel nunobiki, which comes in normal colorways and looks almost identical to the gel venture 6.

Lastly, many people recommend the 990, but they're incredibly expensive.

Thoughts? Tia!
