Translation procedures for proper nouns – asking for a good source
Hello!
I need a list of such procedures for my work. I already use Newmark's translation procedures from A Textbook of Translation, but I also need something more general as well; for example, the procedure for replacing a proper noun with a common noun/using a last name instead of a first name.

(If I've misunderstood Newmark, feel free to tell!! To be honest, his theory seems pretty confusing to me..)
