Should the theory test validity be extended?
Just wondering given the waiting times for practical test, surely it makes sense to extend the validity of theory tests as well? Is there a way we can raise this with DVSA?

Been a lurker for a while but thought I’d post for someone like looking for motivation.
I started learning abroad when I was 16 and had a collision (no injuries or major damage) and just stopped after that. What I hadn’t realised was how much I’d internalised that fear of hitting something while driving. Only found out when I restarted learning properly in the UK this year. Every lesson was shaking hands, pit in my stomach and on edge and dreading the lesson.
However after about 12 lessons, I’ve now finally got to a place where I was the least nervous/anxious I’ve ever been while driving and it is such a breath of fresh air. I’ve still got mistakes to correct and things to learn but knowing my nerves have calmed is such a big win!!
So to anyone else in the same boat, if I can do it I know you can too. Watch lots of YouTube videos, rationalise what you’re doing and why and know that it’s a lesson not a test. You learn by making mistakes and your instructor knows what they’re doing.
