Undiagnosed previous calprotectin 7875

I (38 f) been having stomach issues for at least 3 years. It began with sudden urges to use the washroom and severe cramping, but after a few days thing would clear up. I additionally was diagnosed with a severe b12 deficiency. I assumed it was related, I casually brought it up with the doctor along with my neuropathic symptoms.

My stomach issues became the norm, diahrea and stomach cramps happened at least monthly that lasted 3 days to a week with some mucus with every stool. I adjusted my diet and stopped eating foods that would trigger severe stomach pain.

Then last November (2025) what I thought was another normal stomach attack, was just getting worse. I started to have a lot of pain in my lower right side, seemingly to feel a lump with tenderness but was able to move it around, assumed it was just stools in my bowels that hadn’t made it way around yet. After 2 weeks stomach was just getting worse, with increasing mucus I had a bed accident with loose watery/ mucus stools. I decided to go to the doctor. Even though I had been back and forth to the doctor and had previously done stool samples this time calprotecin came back very high of 7875 with detectable but very little blood in stools .

The doctor referred me to get a colonoscopy. 2 weeks later colonoscopy showed signs of inflammation in most of my large intestines and 1 very large flat poly that I had to be rescheduled to remove. Histology report came back with little inflammation with undetermined causes, polyp was precancerous. Gastroenterologists recommend if I continued to have issues to retake a calprotectin and if it’s elevated that I should have a mri of my small intestines. last week of march I got 2 new calprotectin taken with levels of 307 and 265, trending downward. I hadn’t heard anything back from the doctor, I assume because the trend was going down.

Now for 11 days Ive experienced stomach pain in small and large intestine that is generalized all the time but worse and more specific areas for several hours after eating. More frequent stools, with 2 major rounds of diarrhea with nausea again increased amounts of mucus. I called the doctors office up again today, he is on holiday. my next appointment isn’t for another 2.5 weeks.

additionally I suffer from extreme fatigue, leg foot cramps, lower back pain, joint pain mostly in lower limbs with generalized pain in legs. I can’t keep b12 up with oral tablets even though I eat meat. I get b12 shots every 5 weeks. I get on and off spells of dizziness that lasts 3-4 days. My mother was diagnosed with lupus.

I’ve been to a neurologist and was later tested for nerve damage, fortunately he thinks I just have some left over damage from the previous b12 deficiency and not some neuropathic disease, but going through my symptoms with him, he said Crohn’s sounds very plausible. I don’t know what I asking here today. But I feel like this on going stomach issues isn't normal. My blood tests show b12 levels are within range but but I have ongoing and prolonged large blood cells. Both vitamin D and iron is normal low, my weight is pretty stable. With my upcoming doctors appointment what do you guys think would be good to bring up? What is it that you guys experience with mild or early IBD?
