My fx-991ES PLUS calculator won't show results in scientific notation for certain operations

Namely, operations with scientific notation in them. I've already tried formatting it differently ((1.99×10^2)÷(8.2×10^-5)) and doing different operations (adding, subtracting) but it still won't give me results in scientific notation. I configured the calculator so it would always give me the answers in either scientific notation or fractions and it does show when I do other, simpler operations, like you can see in the second image, so I know it's not a problem with how it's configured. I've already tried pressing the S<=>D button but that also doesn't work. Does anyone have any idea as to what I should do?

My fx-991 ES PLUS calculator won't show results in scientific notation for certain operations

As you guys can see in the images it does show the results in scientific notation for simple divisions, I managed to follow the manual's instructions and configure it so it would do that, but it won't for operations that actually use scientific notation. I tried formatting it differently (eg: 1.99×10^2 ÷ (8.2×10^-5)) but that also didn't work. Anyone knows how to fix/change that?
