ICL?

Hello everyone I’m just here for a little advice. I’ve been researching and getting consultations done to figure out what the best procedure is for me. My first doctor said lasik and the second said definitely not and to do ICL. I’m definitely leaning towards ICL because I was looking at my results at what would indicate if I’d be a risk for ecstasia and one of my eyes is at a risk for that. I had my dad’s friend look at my results as well and he recommended sticking to regular contacts but I can’t deal with that. I’m tired of constantly wearing glasses and contacts and want this procedure done. I’m a -8 and -8.5 and wanted to get other people’s experiences. I also did have an ulcer in my right eye when I was in 9th grade but it’s healed now and my doctor has told me it wasn’t of concern and I’d still be able to get the procedure done. I’m just a little frustrated with the whole process of things.

LASIK or ICL?

I’m getting extremely frustrated with my experience on trying to choose the best option for me. My eye doctor told me I was perfect for lasik so I got a consult and they told me I was great. Second consultation told me no I should do ICL. Now my father’s friend who’s an eye doctor told me to just stick to contacts and not do either and he’d have a more in depth conversation with me. I have two more consultations coming up and I think I’ll go based off what they tell me. I’m -7.5 and -8 and my thickness is like 510 & 518. I’m just soooo frustrated rn.

Frustrated

I’m getting quite frustrated with this process of figuring out what procedure is best for me. I’ve had the first doctor tell me I’m good for lasik, the next told me to get ICL and now my fathers friend told me I should get neither. I can’t stand to live with contacts and glasses for the rest of my life and I’m just getting extremely frustrated with everyone. My corneal thickness is 510 & 518 and I’m a -7.5 and -8. I have two more consultations coming up next week and I think I’ll go based on what the majority tell me to do but I’m just really frustrated atp.

What do I do?

Hey yall I need some advice, I’m in a bit of a dilemma. I’ve had two consultations now to see if I’m a good candidate for lasik and the first one did so many exams and were super comprehensive and told me I was a great candidate and that I could do it. I just had my second consult done today and they did two exams then she told me she didn’t feel comfortable recommending lasik because my cornea wasn’t thick enough, she then recommended ICL. I scheduled another consultation for next week to get a third opinion and I’m kind of left feeling hopeless. I’ve been dreaming of getting lasik since I was in high school and now that I’m at the age where my vision is stable I was so excited to look into getting it done but after today’s consultation I’m not sure what to do anymore and I just wanted some advice from yall.
